I have added a few more tables and fields to the database as well as a couple extra tabs to the gui with no problems. The source was also fairly easy to negotiate through and well laid out. "As the product leader, for a small company with limited resources, I resorted to offshore personnel to augment my development efforts. The process of managing a team of offshore developers was time consuming and turnaround of even small tasks were weeks and sometimes months to implement.

"Easy Projects is a simple to use but powerful tool for tracking projects of all types. I'm tracking Software Development projects, but EP could be used equally well for all types of projects. The web interface is the key. My development team can see their outstanding tasks, log time, receive notifications, and raise project requests and bugs from any computer connected to our intranet.

EP comes with several reports built-in, but we've also created a Business Objects Universe and some BO reports that provide enhanced project tracking. I use these to report back to my Project Director. Any B.I. tool could be used, because the underlying database is simple to understand. it's also open, ours is stored in Microsoft SQL Server, or you can use Microsoft Access.
